The COMPLETE Fierce Trilogy by Ginger Voight!

Fierce: The Complete Trilogy contains all three books in the series: Fierce, Unstoppable and Epic. These books are a spin-off of the best-selling GROUPIE trilogy by Ginger Voight. As such, many characters you already know and love come back to help Jordi tell her coming-of-age story, all against the exciting, glittering backdrop of fame and celebrity.
Eighteen-year-old Jordi Hemphill had a dream. It was much bigger than she was ever encouraged to have because it was much bigger than those around her thought she deserved. These perceived limitations were all directly tied to her double-digit figure. When she finally realizes she has reached a dead end in her small Iowa hometown, Jordi makes a break for the bright lights of Hollywood. And that’s where the fun begins.
Her audition tape fortuitously lands in front of media mogul Graham Baxter. Jordi is cast on a new reality show called “Fierce.” As a show billed to find talent outside of the picture-perfect pop idol machine, Jordi joins a cast of irregulars and nonconformists to vie for her opportunity to win over America and become the newest singing sensation.
It is the first of many instances where Jordi gets exactly what she thinks she wants, only to find it was nothing at all like she could have ever expected. Instead she finds herself on a two year saga to make all her big dreams a reality, fighting unexpected antagonists all along the way. Her true antagonist, however, is herself. The only thing bigger than Jordi’s dream is her sneaking suspicion that everyone else is right… that she doesn’t deserve to be happy, to be successful… to be loved. It takes a cast of colorful characters to show Jordi that ultimately the only key to success is self-acceptance, whoever you are, whatever you have and whomever you love.

Cover Reveal: Rockstar Call Girl by Chandin Whitten

You know we have a weakness for rock stars! And the synopsis for this one has us excited!rockstar call girl jacket
SynopsisbuttonSometimes all it takes is one song to change everything… You met the men of Phoenix Rising in Beautiful Misery. Now it’s their turn to tell their stories. Twenty five year old Tristan Cole has secrets. He has guilt. He has self-hatred. Who wouldn’t? He killed his best friend. The one person he wants forgiveness from avoids him like the plague and hates him. Probably more than he hates himself. For someone who has everything, he’s empty. Making it big with his band, Phoenix Rising, was his one goal after his best friend died. His band succeeded and quickly rose to the top. But, Tristan still felt numb. His only peace was the stage and singing. Then he met…or paid to meet, Emersyn Caine. Emersyn Caine was gorgeous. She was funny. She was smart. She was sarcastic. She was a Hollywood Escort. But, she had a past and it wasn’t pretty. She was willing to do anything and risk everything to keep the one person she loved safe. The moment they met everything changed and nothing would be the same. This isn’t one of those mushy, gushy love stories. This is nitty, gritty rock raising hell. This is the life of a rockstar. Nothing is held back and emotions are raw. Nothing is nice and pretty…everything is dirty (and a whole lotta sexy). Sinister and sexy…the only way to describe the men of Phoenix Rising. Follow their lives, the ups and downs. The twists and turns. The point of no return when hearts get involved, promises get broken, secrets are revealed, and pasts come back to haunt them.

Blog Tour: Review & Giveaway- The Devil’s Tattoo by Nicole R. Taylor

devils-tattoo-taylor-full-ebook

lorraine

3 out of 5

I didn’t dislike The Devil’s Tattoo, but I didn’t love it either.  I’m on the fence completely.  I wanted to love it.  I enjoy a sexy rock star as much as the next chick.  I feel like there was maybe something missing to give it that push from being a good read to a great read.

I had a little trouble getting into it at first, but then I realized that Nicole R. Taylor is Australian, which explained the slang and language.  I do find it difficult to judge the writing style, as I don’t know jack about Australian culture, so I’m not going to.

Zoe was a pretty cool chick and Will was sweet.  I liked them as a couple.  There was a lot of pussy-footing around the fact that they liked each other, and for me, that just took too long.  No progress, then wam! They’re together.  Zoe had this bad experience with men that she kept pushing Will away because of, and when it’s finally uncovered what happened- there wasn’t enough detail and emotion to make me feel like I could relate to her that well.  Will, well…I liked him, but he didn’t give off rock star hottie vibes.  The saving grace for me was the beautiful things he says and does in regards to Zoe.

At the end of the day, The Devil’s Tattoo was worth a read if you like rock star books.  This is going to be a series, and I’ll be reading the next one.

Synopsisbutton

Zoe Granger picked up her first guitar the day her heart was smashed into a billion pieces. It was a way to keep her mind off her inevitable downward spiral, but music soon became her escape. She’s been burned too many times to tell and is just happy to coast through life, never putting herself out there. That’s until her best friend Dee suggests they start a band and suddenly she finds herself not just a part of it, but fronting the whole outfit.

They call themselves The Devil’s Tattoo and when they release their debut EP, it rockets to the top of the charts and it’s like an overnight fairytale. Contracts, photo shoots, royalties and interviews are heaped onto the shy Zoe and it’s like she’s finally found her place. Then comes the phone call that changes everything. They’ve been asked to co-headline a tour with one of the hottest bands of the moment, The Stabs and Zoe will never be the same again.

Will Strickland is one fourth of the hottest indie rock band to ever grace the airwaves. He’s the bass player in The Stabs, hot as hell and could have his pick of any girl that flings herself at him. But he’s only got eyes for Zoe and she has no idea why he’d bother. She’s got one hell of a trust issue and an attitude to boot and Will seems to be the one who wants to tame her, but is he game enough?

The Devil’s Tattoo and The Stabs go on the road and it’s either going to be a highway to hell or a stairway to heaven. Only time will tell who will come out on top and Zoe’s determined to do it without getting her heart broken… again.

Blog Tour: Beat of the Heart by Katie Ashley

BLURB:
Beat of the Heart
(Runaway Train #2)
After years of bad relationships and a cheating ex-fiancé, twenty-eight-year-old Mia Martinelli prefers healing her patients’ hearts on the Cardiac Care floor rather than risking having her heart broken again. But that all comes to a screeching halt when caring for the head roadie for Runaway Train puts her into the orbit of drummer and Latin Lover, AJ Resendiz. After a scorching weekend of steamy passion, Mia’s intention of getting out with her heart unscathed is challenged by the stud with the wicked sense of humor, especially when he wants to continue seeing her. But when the harsh reality of AJ’s hoard of female admirers sends her insecurities into overdrive, Mia bails, leaving him handcuffed to his bathroom shower.
AJ never imagined that after two weeks of the best sex and female companionship he’d ever experienced, he would need rescued by his band mates from his shower prison. Although he tries to forget the sensual brunette whose curves made his mouth water, AJ can’t get her out of his mind…or his heart. Months later when he finally seeks Mia for answers as to why she left,
nothing could prepare him for their life-altering reunion.
Can AJ prove to Mia that regardless of the women after his body, his heart belongs only to her?GR LINK: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17693329-beat-of-the-heart?from_search=true

Lorraine’s Review
4 out of 5

Beat Of The Heart is by far my favorite by Katie Ashley so far.  While this one can technically be read as a stand-alone, I would recommend reading Music of the Heart first. There are a lot of positive things I could say about this book, so I’m just going to focus on a few of my favorites.  If you are already a Katie Ashley fan, you’ll love this book.  If you haven’t read anything by her, but you enjoy sexy rockers series, then you should definitely give this one a read.

I was half in lust, I mean love, with AJ’s character during Music of the Heart, and Mia is exactly what I would have pictured for him.  She is sassy with a side of psycho, and keeps AJ on his toes.  The female leads in most books of this genre almost always have self esteem and/or commitment issues that I often find lacking in depth.  I get quite tired of reading about women whose biggest complaint is that their lips are too large (snort, cause men hate big lips) or they were nerdy in high school, got teased by the bimbo cheerleader, and rejected by the quarterback for said big breasted bimbo.  It was quite refreshing to read about Mia, a curvy chick, described very unlike today’s media version of ideal body type, who has been through some REAL bullshit with men…repeatedly.  Reading through the ups and downs of Mia’s struggles to conquer her inner demons was realistic and relatable.

I also loved that AJ didn’t just swoop in with the “I’m going to save you from yourself” hero BS that we know no man will ever do in real life, thereby magically curing her of all of her issues and they live happily ever after.  Instead, AJ perfectly portrayed the “I’ll catch you if you fall, but you have to let go first” attitude.  It was also refreshing to read a story where the guy didn’t pull some jacked up crap that the chick spends the whole story arguing with herself over whether or not to forgive him, only to give in at the end.  Mia ultimately had to come to terms with her past experiences and let it go to let AJ in.

This one has given me two books to look forward to.  Rhys’ story, Strings Of The Heart, and a little cameo of Pesh hinted at the companion novel to The Proposition series.  My TBR is getting ridiculously long.

Mandy’s Review

4 out of 5

What do you get when you combine a hot Latin lover, a stubborn Sicilian, oodles of chemistry, and smoking hot sex? Why, Beat of the Heart, of course! Katie Ashley continues the Runaway Train series with drummer, AJ Resendiz’s story and it is so very good. I loved Mia! She is the perfect match for AJ. And the limo scene? OOOHH Lordy, that was HOT! In fact, all of the sexy times were immensely hot.  I devoured this book in just a few short hours and my only complaint is that I want more.

Katie Ashley writes refreshingly real and relatable characters.  Mia had a hurtful past in the love department, but she is no shrinking violet.  Her banter with AJ was a fun mix of sexy and humorous. I loved Dee, her best friend, and having him compared to Lafayette from True Blood just made me like him that much more. Every scene that involved the other band members was just another reminder at what a great series this is.   And it was nice to see how Jake and Abby were doing.

I squealed when we got to see Pesh. YES! Emma’s Pesh from The Proposition and the Proposal! I hope we get to see him find happiness one day. He is such a friend to Katie Ashley’s heroines and deserves a happy ending of his own.

As for happy endings for AJ and Mia- the entire book is a great read with fantastic chemistry, witty dialogue, and seriously HOT sexy times. The story had a great pace and kept momentum the whole way through, right up to a great epilogue that left me smiling.
