Sex. Who really knows sex? I mean, we’ve all had sex, great sex even but when you get down to the details, how many of us actually see sex for the raw, primal act that it is?
I thought I knew sex. I’ve had sex. Heck, I’ve felt lust. Once, I’ve even felt love. I thought I knew exactly what sex was.
Until I met Cade.
He’s the meaning of sex.
He’s a biker.
He wants me.
My world is about to change, for the better? I don’t know. But here’s my story, I hope you’re ready for it because it’s not the beautiful, heart wrenching story most people have to tell. It’s passionate, forbidden, morally incorrect and downright, fucking beautiful.

Not only does Bella Jewel have a kick ass name, but she can write a kick ass story. I one clicked it as soon as it was live and moved my TBR list around until it was at the top. And then I spent a few hours being introduced to Hell’s Knights. It’s a sexy, gritty story about a broken girl and a motorcycle club. It’s a book about karma and learning to trust. It’s Addison and Cade’s love story. It’s a biker book, so it’s not hearts and flowers, but it was a gripping read. It’s got a great pace and there were never any slow points. I was sucked in from the prologue and didn’t move until I was done reading.
I really enjoyed Addison and her smart mouth. She’s a strong heroine with a lot of baggage. I spent some time wishing she would crack, just a little, and let someone care for her. But I admired her determination to survive, rather than lay down and let her shitty life destroy her. Watching her learn to trust and care for people who were worthy of those emotions was a humbling experience. Her father, Jackson, is an interesting man and I would like to see him find an Old Lady of his own. My heart broke for him when he learned about his daughter’s history. My favorite character was a side character and the lead in Bella Jewel’s next book. Spike, a member of the Heaven’s Sinners MC, was just the kind of man to make me drool. I want his story (book) immediately. I think his story may have me panting as much as the reason for his nickname.
As for Cade. Cade is my new book crush. He’s hot. He’s crude. He’s badass. He’s a biker. But what makes him tick? Where did he come from? His back story is only hinted at and only a small part of his history with Spike is revealed and I was left wanting more. Addison and Cade have great chemistry. He needs a woman that challenges him and she needed someone to love her. And Cade is creative in his loving! I will never think about a handstand the same, ever again. But I needed more from him to call him a book boyfriend. I needed something to hook me to him.
This book was a solid 4 for me. Dynamic dialogue and a quick pace are just a couple things that kept me reading. The storyline was good, the characters were fascinating and the sex scenes are scorching. MORE, please! Thanks, Bella Jewel, for a great new series to lust after.

I definitely enjoyed Hell’s Knights. I love it when an author plays with flashbacks to explain the characters lives, rather than a prologue, so two thumbs up there. I’m also a fan of the first person perspective. It allows me to lose myself and become the character while I’m reading.
I thought the main characters were awesome, and their stories were heart-breaking. I felt for both Addi and Cade and all the shit they went through before meeting. Backgrounds like theirs are difficult to overcome enough to let someone in, and I think Bella Jewel did an excellent job smoothly transitioning from hardened heart to love.
You’ll hear me say it a lot, but I LOVE an alpha male, and Cade was no exception to that. YUM! I can pinpoint the exact sentence that I fell a little in love with him. It’s so disappointing sometimes to finish a book and realize it’s not real.
Addi is a very guarded person, and it’s pretty obvious why from the get-go. Her struggle to let go of the past and the inner strength inside her made me root for her to get her happy ending.
I did have one issue with a piece of background detail, and it was kind of an important foundation detail, so it stuck with me. I hate to say it, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a lifelong prostitute that has a lawyer and a will. I’m not saying it is impossible, but maybe it wasn’t explained enough as to how that came about. I just think there were more believable options as to how Addi got the piece of information that came from there.
Overall, that didn’t stop me from enjoying Hell’s Knights, and I can’t wait to get my hands on Heaven’s Sinners!

Spike knows tragedy, he knows that feelings are better left hidden. He refuses to put his heart out there again, it’s a pain he’s not willing to ever let himself feel. He’s got a mission. He’s got a goal. Nothing is going to get in his way. He will seek his revenge.
But then there’s Ciara, the sister of his deceased wife. She’s beautiful and damned determined to throw herself into his life in hopes they can reform an old friendship, but Spike won’t hear of it, and Ciara refuses to give up.
Who will win the battle of wills?

I knew I would enjoy Spike’s story, and not just because of his “spikes”. Though, the spikes did lend themselves to some super hot sexy times! Bella Jewel’s second book, Heaven’s Sinners, was full of hurt feelings and regrets. Spike and Ciara should have been a done deal when they were much younger, but neither one had the guts to speak up about their feelings for fear of ruining their friendship. A lot of events have taken place in the years between, including Spike marrying Ciara’s sister and losing Cheyenne and their unborn baby to a drug lord. Spike getting his revenge on said drug lord is the main “problem” in this story. Spike and Ciara spend most of the book pushing and pulling each other back and forth. Ultimately, love prevails but not without a lot of drama and blood shed. While, I am still not sure exactly how old the characters are or where the story is taking place, I enjoyed reading it.
Bella Jewel writes her bikers with gritty language and their actions never deviate from what you would expect of rough and tumble bikers. And the sexy times are dirty and HOT. Bella even gave us a sneak peak at Jackson’s proclivities and I cannot wait for his book! It will be full of kinky sexy time goodness and those dirty bikers that we’ve gotten to know and love in Hell’s Knights and Heaven’s Sinners. With so many MC books popping up on the market, it’s nice to read a book that doesn’t sugar coat the raw, gritty, and not always pleasant world of outlaw MCs. The love stories portrayed in both of Bella Jewel’s books took their time to unfold (as life tends to do) and her characters have real flaws and histories that just make the books that much easier to fall into and enjoy!

I’m honestly a little torn about how I feel about Heaven’s Sinners. There is something sublimely beautiful about star-crossed lovers, at the same time, Spike and Ciara’s story pissed me off sometimes.
I loved Spike, and I loved Ciara. Spike is as hot and alpha as it is hinted at in Hell’s Knights. Ciara’s family history is saddening. Her parents, well, I totally hate them. Her sister, Cheyenne, was a raving bitch. I cheered Ciara for persevering and growing into a strong independent woman.
If you read Hell’s Knights (and you should), then you know the basic background. Spike and Cheyenne were married with a baby on the way when she was murdered. Spike blames himself and can’t move past it. Everything you learn about the past of Ciara, Spike, and Cheyenne tells you that Ciara is one hundred times the woman that Cheyenne was. I think what pisses me off is the fact that Spike was so freaking blind to Cheyenne’s true personality. When he was talking about how he would always love her, repeatedly, I wanted to knee him in the balls then rip out his spiked piercings so he’d get a clue. Especially when it was so freaking obvious how perfect Ciara was for him.
When all is said and done, I have to say that I truly loved this book. The very definition of a good book to me is one that can invoke so much feeling for its characters and story (good or bad) and then deliver the ending that I was rooting for. Bella Jewel delivered that for me in Heaven’s Sinners. Looking forward to reading Jackson’s story!
